What is a diamond composite sheet?
Diamond composite (PDC) is a composite material sintered with diamond powder and cemented carbide substrate under ultra-high pressure and high temperature conditions. Therefore, it not only has the high hardness, high wear resistance and thermal conductivity of diamond, but also has cemented carbide, strength and impact toughness. The surface layer of the diamond composite sheet is a polycrystalline diamond sintered from powders with different diamond particle sizes, which has extremely high hardness, wear resistance and long working life. The bottom layer is generally tungsten-cobalt carbide with good toughness, which provides good support for the surface polycrystalline diamond and also makes it easier to be welded to various tools by brazing. It is an ideal material for manufacturing cutting tools, drilling bits and other wear-resistant tools.

Classification and application of polycrystalline diamond compact
According to the different application scopes, the diamond compact products on the market are mainly divided into the following two types:
1. Drilling and mining PDC
Drilling and production PDC is suitable for soft to medium hard geological drilling, with high impact toughness and thermal stability, and the heat resistance temperature can reach 750 ℃ (two minutes). Such products usually have flat surfaces and various groove surfaces. Combined type, groove shape, grinding, polishing, chamfering, etc. can be designed according to user needs.
2. Mechanical tool diamond-like carbon composite sheet
Mechanical tool diamond-like composite sheet is suitable for cutting and machining of high hardness alloys, wood, ceramics and other non-metals, non-ferrous metals and other metals. It has high hardness and wear resistance and high cutting accuracy. According to user needs, there are rectangular , triangle, sector and other shapes, can be used to make wear-resistant devices, drills, tips and drill teeth (with spherical, conical) and so on.
3. The performance of diamond composite sheet
The wide application range of diamond compacts is inseparable from its superior material properties. First, diamond compacts have high hardness and wear resistance (abrasion ratio). According to the determination, the hardness of diamond composite sheet is as high as about 10000 HV, which is the highest hardness among man-made materials in the world, and is much higher than that of cemented carbide and engineering ceramics. The composite sheet has excellent wear resistance, which also makes it widely used as a drill bit and material cutting tool.
